A “bespoke” bird table has been made for a day centre in Prestonpans thanks to the work of Macmerry Men’s Shed.
The bird table sits at the front of Harlawhill Day Centre, and staff took to social media to state their thanks.
The design of the bird table is a replica, in miniature, of the day centre and it is hoped it will encourage many feathery friends to come along and visit.
A spokesperson for Harlawhill said: “What an amazing gesture of good will we received today when we were visited by John Bathgate, Stuart MacKenzie and Vince Proc from Macmerry Men’s Shed, who presented us with a bespoke bird table.
“This was specially made by John in the image of the day centre and we think he has captured our essence perfectly; such a talent.
“We look forward to many happy hours watching our new Harlawhill feathered members visiting.
“Thank you so much, gentlemen, you have certainly brightened up our day.”
