East Lothian Countryside Rangers have urged the public to stay clear of a popular clifftop walking route as it collapsed yesterday.
The section of the Doo Rock Coastal Path at The Glebe has been closed due to safety concerns since January.
However, Countryside Rangers confirmed yesterday evening on social media that the section had fully collapsed.
It is feared that strong northerly winds and high tide may cause more sections to collapse in the coming days as the area remains "extremely unstable".
The public are reminded to use the signposted diversion that is in place and "stay away from the area".
A spokesperson for the Countryside Rangers said on Facebook: "The closed section of path at The Glebe, Dunbar, has now collapsed.
"Strong northerly winds and high tide may results in further collapse in the coming days.
"The area is extremely unstable.
"We are in the process of extending the closure but in the meantime please adhere to the diversion and stay well away from the area."
