MORE snow and ice is predicted across the county this evening into tomorrow morning with a yellow weather warning in place from the Met Office.
The warning is in place from 5pm this evening (Monday) until 10am tomorrow morning (Tuesday).
A statement on the Met office website reads: “An area of rain will turn to sleet and snow from the north, initially over Scotland, and then over northern England during Monday evening.
“This sleet and snow then clears southwards overnight allowing skies to clear and temperatures to fall sharply resulting in ice forming, particularly on untreated surfaces.”
Drivers are advised to be cautious when travelling in snowy or icy conditions and should plan journeys ahead.
More information on the warning and what to do in bad weather conditions can be found on the Met Office website.
