A spate of milk thefts has been recorded across Cockenzie and Port Seton as youths have allegedly been targeting delivery vans.
Multiple reports have been raised by residents amid claims that the problem has been getting worse.
The incidents are alleged to occur in the early hours of the morning and involve youths no older than 15 in several parts of the village.
Kerri White, a resident of Park Road, described how she spotted the youngsters stalking the delivery van, allegedly stealing items from the back of it.
She said: “They’re following the delivery driver and stealing right at the back of him.
“My milk delivery was also stolen last Thursday.”
Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
