BUSINESS units on an area of waste ground within a village’s industrial estate have been given the go-ahead.
Planning permission was given to Scamper Holding SSAS for the site in Macmerry Industrial Estate.
East Lothian Council’s planning department noted that there were no objections from members of the public to the plans.
The units, which will be a mix of class four (business), five (general industrial) and six (storage or distribution), will be created on the eastern edge of the industrial estate.
The council attached a condition to the approval that “a minimum” of 15 per cent of the parking spaces should be serviced by EV charging facilities.
