EAST Lothian Foodbank is appealing to the public for donations of spare plastic shopping bags.
The foodbank is looking for donations of shopping bags to help with food parcel deliveries in East Lothian.
A spokesperson for East Lothian Foodbank, which is based in Tranent, said: “We’re always on the lookout for strong bags for our parcels.
“They have to be strong ones as we provide a lot of store cupboard staples in tins and heavy items like long-life milk, and single use bags split under the weight.
“If you can help, please hand into the foodbank at Civic Square in Tranent or any of our donation points.”
Donations can be made directly to the foodbank, along with donations of food or other items.
A full list of donation points can be found on the East Lothian Foodbank website.
