AN “EXCITING new café” could be on the menu for Dunbar High Street.
Plans to breathe new life into the Coast Gallery, at the northern end of the town centre street, were revealed this week.
The proposals, from Jo Crerar, are currently being weighed up by East Lothian Council’s planning department.
The application notes: “I am looking to open an exciting new café in Dunbar.
“I am looking to change the business class from one retail to a class three to permit seating and also serve hot food.
“Until permission is gained, I will be open serving drinks and cold foods to take away.
“Cold food will be prepared on site.
“The ethos of the café is to offer healthy, delicious salads, filled bagels, poke salads, smoothies and speciality coffee from roasteries from around the UK and Europe.”
Drawings with the application show seating at the front of the building, with a preparation area to the rear.
