A collection of four murals have appeared at Prestonpans train station depicting old railway scenes.
The murals were funded and sponsored CrossCountry rail operators and East Lothian Community Rail Partnership with support from ScotRail.
The trackside murals provide a look back into rail's history in Prestonpans and the surrounding area, with stylised pieces take passengers through time to see the local railway heritage.
They depict the famous Mallard train, a scene that incorporates the areas mining past, as well as a historic scene that shows the 1722 waggonway – thought to be Scotland's first railway line.
Artists Tom Ewing and Lesley Innes were behind the pieces along with pupils and art department staff from Preston Lodge High School.
John Wilson, ScotRail community liaison executive, said: “The East Lothian Community Rail Partnership has done a fantastic job in brightening up Prestonpans station, and I’m sure the artwork will brighten up our customers’ journeys.
“We know how important the railway is to the communities we serve, and we want to do all we can to strengthen and support that link.”
