SLEEPY East Linton residents woke up to a baaa-zarre sight on Saturday morning.
Neighbours in The Glebe were awoken to a large flock of 20 sheep grazing on their lawns.
The Ryeland sheep had escaped from a nearby farm.
Daniel Carnegie, who got in touch with the Courier, said: “Thankfully no damage was done and no sheep were harmed on the road.
“The local farmer and the neighbours helped corral the sheep back to their farm.
“Quite the amusing spectacle for a Saturday morning.”
