The Loch Centre in Tranent has today closed for a week for essential maintenance work.
The complex - which includes a swimming pool, gym and main hall - is due to reopen on January 30 except for the quiet and craft rooms which will reopen on February 6.
All facilities at the centre, operated by enjoyleisure, are closed.
Several sports clubs such as Jack Kane Taekwon-Do and Little Tiger Cubs East Lothian have had to cancel classes set to be held in the centre this week.
A council spokesperson said: “This is scheduled maintenance.
"The main work is to change the filter media for the pool which is carried out every few years.
"We are taking the opportunity to carry out various other checks in the pool hall area and also carrying out flooring repairs and upgrading an internal wall.”
