GARDENING enthusiasts in Musselburgh are holding a sale in aid of Sunflower Scotland, which is supporting people in war-torn Ukraine.
The sale of new, lightly used, vintage and antique items, including jewellery, has been organised by Musselburgh Horticultural Society, which is hoping to raise £2,000 for the charity.
The event will be held this Saturday in St Michael’s Church Hall, Dalrymple Loan, Musselburgh, from 10am until 2pm. Hiring a table costs £15 and has to be pre-booked.
Sunflower Ukraine is a Scottish charity that arranges emergency supplies and food parcels to be delivered to families living close to the front line in Ukraine.
Eve Dickinson, president of Musselburgh Horticultural Society, said: “Please come along and join us for a tea or coffee and cake.
“You may find yourself a bargain or special Christmas gift amongst the new, lightly used, vintage, antique, household and jewellery stalls.
She added: “We also need volunteers to help sell goods on the tables, donations for the tombola and home baking for the teas and coffees.”
Contact Eve at Musselburghhorticulturalsociety@hotmail.com if you have donations you would like collected before the event or if you wish to hire a table to sell your own items.
