TRANENT’S fireworks display takes place next Friday (November 4) at Polson Park, 6.45pm until 7pm, and is free to attend, though donations are welcome.
The display, organised by Tranent and Elphinstone Community Council, will have volunteers collecting donations on the night.

Those attending are asked not to bring their cars as parking is limited and the park itself will have no vehicle access on the night.

Mike Falconer, Tranent and Elphinstone Community Council chairman, said: “A number of community councils are not having fireworks displays this year.
“Following this year’s display, the community council will need to have a serious conversation about how – and if – we can continue to put on displays in the future.”
