FINDINGS from a drop-in event which considered the future of East Saltoun will be revealed tomorrow.
Hamilton Farming Enterprises Ltd (HFEL) held an event last month where residents were asked their views on how the village could change over the coming years.
The local landowner is looking ahead to East Lothian Council’s review of its Local Development Plan (LDP), which is expected to begin towards the end of the year.
The LDP sets out the council’s planning policies and proposals for a 10-20 year period, focusing on issues including housing, transport and the environment.
The drop-in event, at the Fletcher Hall, takes place on Tuesday from 2.30pm to 7.30pm.
Findings from the first event and options for consideration will be discussed.
Niven Simpson, from HFEL, said: “We were delighted to see so many people turn out for the first event and hope to see everyone again on October 25.
“The high level of interest reflects the value people place on being part of the East Saltoun community.”
Local residents can also discuss the findings with HFEL’s consultant team, Urban Animation and Fraser Livingstone Architects.
