A FUNGI forage and feast is being offered at the restaurant of an award-winning chef.

The Bonnie Badger launched a series of Forage & Feast events earlier this year, allowing guests to learn about and explore the array of wild herbs, plants, flora and fungi the local area boasts.

The events have been created in collaboration with Wee Folk of the Woods, a longstanding and trusted supplier of Bonnie Badger’s owner, chef Tom Kitchin, and Kitchin Group.

Guests attending the event on October 21 will have the chance to embark on a foraging adventure, learning about the wealth of wild mushrooms available along the East Lothian coastline.

Guests will hear from experts on when, where and how to forage for edible mushrooms, and learn about ways to use mushrooms in cooking “safely and satisfyingly”.

The guided walking tour is open to all ages.

Following a morning spent on a fungi-foraging adventure, guests will return to the Gullane restaurant to enjoy an exclusive three-course lunch, with each course inspired by Scottish wild mushrooms.

The Fungi Forage & Feast workshop is held from 10am until 3pm; to book a place, call 01620 621111.
