YOUTH outreach workers are being used in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour in Dunbar.
Reports of disturbances and fires in Lochend Woods have been passed on to both East Lothian Council and Police Scotland.
A spokeswoman for East Lothian Council said: “The council is working alongside partners in addressing the anti-social behaviour that has recently been reported in Dunbar.
“Our youth outreach workers are engaging with young people with view to preventing anti-social behaviour taking place and action has been taken by the police and anti-social behaviour team against those identified as behaving anti-socially.
“The community wardens continue to maintain a high-visibility presence in the small number of areas affected.
“Members of the public can report any acts of antisocial behaviour to the council via 01875 824 307.”
