THE retirement of a key figure from a group providing access to training and support for people in and around Dunbar has been marked in the Scottish Parliament.
Gill Last stepped down from her role as training manager at The Ridge earlier this month.
Craig Hoy, South Scotland MSP, lodged a motion highlighting the occasion in the Scottish Parliament.
The motion, supported by fellow South Scotland MSP Martin Whitfield, reads: “That the Parliament wishes Gill Last from The Ridge charity in Dunbar all the very best in her retirement after eight years; understands that Gill has supported vulnerable people from Dunbar and the surrounding area by providing help, advice and support; recognises that, in her role, she has supported hundreds of people in the community, including vulnerable young people from the area; recognises that Gill has been an integral part of The Ridge charity, and understands that she will be sorely missed by her colleagues.”
