THE Rotary Club of Tranent will hold a belated Burns Supper in Prestonpans next month, with a former president of an American Rotary club making the journey to Scotland to attend.
On September 23, the Rotary Club of Tranent will hold a special belated celebration at Royal Musselburgh Golf Club.
At the supper, the Immortal Memory will be given by the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Moraga in California.
Brian South, who is a law enforcement consultant with the State of California Peace Officers, will travel to Scotland to be in attendance at the event.
A Rotary Club of Tranent spokesperson said: “We are very honoured that Brian is making the journey to Scotland specifically to attend our Burns supper.
“This will be a full Burns supper, with many other artistes performing on the night.”
