The Rotary Club of North Berwick welcomed a new president as Debbie Renton took up the chain of office at the most recent meeting of the club.
Mrs Renton replaced the outgoing Bruce Wilson in front of 60 members at the Glen Golf Club while also assuming the duties of district treasurer.
She will be the second woman to hold the post of president – Liz Martin previously assumed the role at the club.
The meeting also saw two people recognised by the club for their work in the community.
Mr Wilson gave the Paul Harris award, the most prestigious award in World Rotary, to Ken Gordon and Alex Crawford.
Mr Gordon was recognised for his “tireless” work with local charities and his role in leading the town’s stroke club.
Former club president Mr Crawford was also recognised for playing a leading role in raising funds for Myra’s Wells – a charity that helps deliver fresh drinking water to people in Burkina Faso.
The evening concluded with a performance from a Gaelic music group and a photo slideshow of Argyle.
Those interested in participating in North Berwick Rotary Club are encouraged to go along to the weekly meetings, which take place at the Glen Golf Club.
