THE Cockenzie and Port Seton community came out in their hundreds last night to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
A varied programme of events took place, with a choir filling Port Seton Harbour with the sound of music at 9pm.
The first 'lighting' of a beacon took place at 9.25pm - albeit it was not a real flame - followed by music from Cockenzie and Port Seton Royal British Legion Pipes & Drums, which led crowds along the High Street to Cockenzie Harbour.

At 9.45pm, a second beacon was activated at Cockenzie Harbour.
Speeches at the event were made by, among others, Bryan Hickman, chairperson of Cockenzie and Port Seton Community Council and Lyn Marshall, deputy Lord Lieutenant of East Lothian.
Bugler Brian Robertson played the Last Post before Royal British Legion piper Tom Ferguson played Highland Cathedral.
