EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a microlight crash at East Fortune this morning.
Firefighters, police officers and ambulance crews were on scene at the East of Scotland Microlight Centre after reports of a man trapped in a microlight aircraft following a crash.
Microlight aviation is the flying of lightweight one or two-seat fixed-wing aircraft.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 10.56am on Wednesday, June 1, to reports of an incident involving a microlight aircraft in East Lothian.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene close to East Fortune, where firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release a casualty who had become trapped.
"The casualty was thereafter passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
"Crews were in attendance but have since left the scene."
