IT WILL be a real winter wonderland in Cockenzie and Port Seton this year after the village’s community council confirmed that a 17ft-tall Christmas tree had been ordered.
The community council faced a backlash last December by locals who complained about a lack of decorations and trees in the villages.
Instead of a traditional artificial or decorated temporary tree, the community council opted to plant four living Christmas trees last year.
At a recent meeting, it was confirmed that £230 had been spent on a 17ft tree, which will be installed in the first week in December.
