A COUNTY thief who broke into a Prestonpans home on Christmas Day has been ordered to be of good behaviour.
Nicholas Cochrane forced his way into a house on the town’s Preston Road and made off with cash and a laptop.
Cochrane, of the town’s Drummore Drive, also stole a camera and a quantity of alcohol during the incident on December 25, 2019.
The 32-year-old pleaded guilty to the theft when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last week.
Sheriff Alistair Noble warned Cochrane to be of good behaviour and deferred sentence for six months.
