DOUGLAS Ross was on the campaign trail in East Lothian yesterday (Wednesday) in preparation for the upcoming East Lothian Council elections in May.
The Scottish Conservatives' leader was seen campaigning and leafleting in Musselburgh alongside local Conservative councillor Katie Mackie as she kicked off her bid for re-election.
Mr Ross was also joined by Craig Hoy, Conservative MSP for South Scotland, and Lachlan Bruce, councillor for Preston Seton Gosford and leader of the Conservative Group on East Lothian Council.
Anthony Stodart, chairman of East Lothian Conservative Association; Sarah Russell, agent for East Lothian Conservatives; and Sean Craigmile, a member of the East Lothian Conservatives executive, were also present alongside local activists.
The local elections take place on May 5, with Labour currently operating a minority administration in East Lothian Council following the 2017 election.
