FANS of Alan Carr could win the chance to meet the famous chatty man at his regional tour in Edinburgh this summer if they enter a competition in aid of a county toddler battling cancer.

One lucky East Lothian resident will have the chance to win two meet-and-greet tickets to see the comedian on his Regional Trinket tour at Edinburgh's playhouse on July 6.

The winner would also received a £150 voucher to spend at Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen and an overnight stay at the House of Gods.

The overnight stay includes an on-call butler, in-room cocktail service, a complimentary £50 bar tab at Lilith's Lounge, and a luxury breakfast hamper.

The competition, ran by the parents of Aberlady toddler Flora Gentleman, aims to raise money towards her fundraising campaign which will see the three-year-old fly by place to New York this autumn for rehabilitation treatment.

Flora was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma last spring.

Stephanie Kent and Jamie Gentleman added: "A huge thank you to Tony at Neuroblastoma UK for organising this amazing prize with Alan Carr and another huge thank you to Ian at House Of Gods for generously donating an overnight stay with the most amazing added extras."

Entry to the competition costs £10, with a £20 donation for three entries.

To enter, Flora's parents ask competition goers to private message a screenshot of their donation, alongside their full name and contact number to Flora's Fight Against Neuroblastoma on Facebook.

Online entries can be made until April 2 at 5pm.

The winner will then be contacted and announced on social media on April 3.

To donate, people can text FLORA 10 or FLORA 20 to 70085 or donate via https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/flora or Solving Kids Cancer at https://www.solvingkidscancer.org.uk/Appeal/flora
