JD WETHERSPOON pubs across Scotland have been ranked from best to worst by Tripadvisor.
The 60 pubs were given a rating out of five stars by the online review service – but how did East Lothian’s only Wetherspoons fare?
Wetherspoons branches have become very popular across the country due to their wide selection of alcohol and food at very reasonable prices.
None of Scotland’s pubs received top marks but the Caley Picture House, Standing Order and The Alexander Graham Bell in Edinburgh all performed well, receiving four stars overall.
Only four other Wetherspoons in Scotland achieved this rating: The Wheatsheaf Inn in Kilmarnock, The Society Room in Glasgow, The Prestwick Pioneer in Prestwick, and The Saltoun Inn in Fraserburgh.
East Lothian’s only Wetherspoons, The David Macbeth Moir in Musselburgh, received three and a half stars, earning four stars for value and garnering a very high positive feedback ratio.
No pub earned below three stars but The Carrick Stone in Cumbernauld received the highest ratio of negative feedback, with almost double the number of terrible reviews as excellent ones.
Hunters Hall in Galashiels and Jolly’s Hotel in Dundee fell not far behind with similar rates of negative feedback.
