MORE than 30 budding footballers have cheered Scotland on to victory.
Youngsters from Tranent Colts’ under-11s team up to the under-15s travelled to Hampden Park to see Scotland, including Dunbar’s Rachael Boyle, take on Hungary.
Pedro Martinez Losa’s team kept up their 100 per cent record in qualification as they look to reach the World Cup for just the second time.
Christy Grimshaw put the hosts in front before Hungary equalised early in the second half.
Captain Rachel Corsie was on hand, though, to score in the dying seconds to send the Tartan Army faithful home happy.
Derek Little, who is involved with the girls academy at the club, thanked AC Coaches for the transport.
He said: “A lot of the kids don’t get to see things like this in their life.
“I got an email from Scottish Women’s Football asking if we were interested in taking some tickets and I thought we could do something. Once I got the message out, we got a fantastic reaction.
“We met at Ross High and the girls were impeccably behaved on the bus and at Hampden.
“All the girls enjoyed it.
“Everybody loves a last-minute winner, especially in your favour.
“It was a great day and hopefully it will happen again in the near future.”
Scotland’s qualifying campaign continues later this month when they welcome Ukraine to Hampden.
