THERE is more bad news for train users as there are no local Scotrail services serving East Lothian at all this weekend.
County residents have had to get used to no trains on recent Sundays due to strike action by RMT union members.
Now, essential track engineering works means there will be no trains on the North Berwick-Edinburgh and Dunbar-Edinburgh services on Saturday either.
Scotrail has confirmed that trains travelling between Dunbar/North Berwick and the Capital will be affected by engineering work taking place in the Drem area, which starts tomorrow, resulting in no services.
The engineering works will take place for three Saturday's in a row – October 9, 13 and 20.
On Saturday, buses will replace trains for the entirety of the day.
No train services will operate on Sunday either, as strike action by train staff over staff shortages continues.
To find the location of bus replacements, check station signs or search for your station on Scotrail's station information pages.
