A Gifford motorist has been banned from driving after he was caught behind the wheel of a vehicle while over the drink-drive limit.
Arnoldas Ciucelis, of Walden Terrace, was found to have 42mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when police pulled him over in October last year. The legal limit is 22mg.
Ciucelis committed the offence at Thistly Cross Roundabout, near Dunbar, on October 10 last year.
The 26-year-old Lithuanian national pleaded guilty to the offence at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday.
Sheriff Adrian Fraser fined the driver a total of £260 and banned him from the road for 12 months.
