A POPULAR county visitor attraction has reopened after temporarily closing due to a number of positive coronavirus cases among staff.
Archerfield Walled Garden – on the Archerfield Estate, Dirleton – boasts a garden shop and cafe, food market, gardens and grounds, and a fairy trail.
It closed last Tuesday after two members of its front-of-house team tested positive for Covid-19.
A statement on its Facebook page last week said: “As a precaution, we have taken the decision to close until Friday.
“This will allow us time to test all of our staff, identify contacts, deep clean the building and reassess the situation.
“NHS Test and Protect will be in touch should they deem any customers to have been in close contact with the affected staff members.
“Please bear with us as we navigate this situation, while following yet another set of rules.”
The Walled Garden did re-open last Friday.
