MORE than 220 calls were made to police in Dunbar over a six-week summer period. Community police officers highlighted the number of calls in a report to the town’s community council.
Officers noted there had been 230 calls to police between July 1 and August 13.
Among the incidents was a man being arrested and charged for being in charge of a motor vehicle while unfit through drugs.
The report is broken down into various sections. Under reducing violence and anti-social behaviour, there is a report of a male charged with vandalism following an incident at the Royal British Legion.
Also, a female was arrested and charged with behaving in a threatening manner towards neighbours and resisting arrest on July 14.
A male was also charged with behaving in a threatening manner towards staff while in McDonald’s in the town.
Seven further vandalisms were reported during the period, as well as four assaults.
