A PREFERRED candidate for a senior council role has been announced.

Sarah Fortune, head of finance at East Lothian Council, will take on the vacant role of executive director – council resources.

Monica Patterson, the local authority’s chief executive, congratulated her colleague.

She said: “I wish Sarah every success in her new role and look forward to working with her in the years ahead.”
