A SPECIAL week of activities takes place in Wallyford from Monday to next Saturday (August 14).
The Wallyford Livingroom Church Connection Week is about helping others and getting to know people in the community.
Rounders aimed at secondary school pupils can be enjoyed in the park behind the Livingroom from 7.30pm to 9pm on Monday.
A teddy bears’ picnic for toddlers, with a gift for all the children, takes place on Tuesday from 10am to 11.30am in the Livingroom garden.
Youngsters in primary school will be treated to a kids’ party on Tuesday from 2pm to 3.30pm in the Livingroom garden, featuring party bags, games and food.
On Wednesday, Minute to Win It games for families will be held in the park beside the local community centre, 2-3.30pm. They can also enjoy a water fight at the park behind the church from 7pm to 8.30pm. Take along water pistols and water balloons; filling stations will be provided.
A scavenger hunt for secondary school pupils is planned next Thursday from 7pm to 8.30pm, starting at the Livingroom, with a Colour Powder Party organised for next Saturday from 2.30pm to 3.30pm in the Livingroom garden, with a request for £1 to help cover costs.
Families can take part in a litter pick next Saturday from 10am to noon, starting at the Livingroom.
A helping hand is also being offered to people in the community for tasks such as gardening and painting during the week. Call 0131 665 2618 to discuss details.
