NORTH Berwick residents are being asked to ensure their vehicles are locked and safe following a number of thefts in the town.
Police have said that there has been a number of incidents of thefts from motor vehicles reported to them over the past few days.
They are all currently under investigation in order to identify those responsible.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Local residents are reminded to pay particular attention to the security of their motor vehicles.
“Preventative measures that can be taken include: always locking your car; ensuring all windows/sun roofs are closed; fit locking, anti-tamper wheel nuts to secure alloy wheels; ensure no valuables are left on display within vehicles and park your vehicle in busier well-lit areas where possible
“Please report any suspicious behaviour to Police Scotland on non-emergency number 101 giving descriptions of persons or vehicles.
“Always dial the 999 emergency line if you witness a crime that is ongoing.”
