A WINNER has been crowned in a competition designed to encourage an interest in the works of Robert Burns.
Heddintoun Burns Club organised the competition with P7 pupils at Haddington Primary School.
James Wood was named the winner and presented with the James Moncrieff Quaich, donated by Pat Moncrieff, who presented the award in memory of her husband, a former honorary president of the Burns club.
James, who gave a rendition of To a Haggis, is the first winner of the quaich, which will be awarded annually.
Kacie Aitken and Olivia Kelly were named as finalists.
