A VIOLENT street assault resulted in a man being left unconscious.
Ross Turnbull, 32, attacked Paul Bowers by repeatedly punching and kicking him in Prestonpans last summer.
Turnbull pushed Mr Bowers to the ground before striking the man to the head and body, which “caused him to lose consciousness”, at the junction of the town’s Schaw Road and Thorntree Crescent.
Turnbull, of Inglis Avenue, Port Seton, admitted the assault to Mr Bowers’ severe injury on July 20 last year when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Sheriff Douglas Keir released Turnbull on bail and deferred sentence to next month for the preparation of social work reports.
