TIME is running out for interested parties to take charge of the former site of a day centre in Ormiston.
The Primrose Day Centre, now based on the village’s George Street, was previously on Main Street but closed its doors in 2016.
A spokeswoman for East Lothian Council said: “At the moment this is outreach only, since the Ormiston Community Centre is closed, but plans are being put in place to reopen in the summer.”
Now, East Lothian Council is looking to sell the Main Street building, with offers over £70,000 being considered.
The local authority has not ruled out the possibility of the building being transformed into housing, saying “residential use may be acceptable”.
The ground floor has a large open plan room, with two smaller rooms, a kitchen, store, WC and disabled WC.
The closing date for bids is Thursday (June 17) at noon.
