A WALLYFORD motorist has been banned from the road after he was caught behind the wheel while serving a previous ban.
Disqualified driver Iain Vass drove a vehicle on the A1 near Old Craighall on July 14 last year.
Vass, 31, was also found to have no valid insurance for the vehicle due to the existing driving ban.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday to plead guilty to the two offences.
Sheriff John Cook heard Vass, of Albert Place, had been twice banned previously and he had convictions for various road traffic offences.
The sheriff told Vass he would have to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work in the community as punishment.
The driver was also banned from driving for a further eight months.
