THE body of a man has been found in North Berwick.

Police Scotland confirmed that at 4pm yesterday (Wednesday) the body was found near woodlands in the town.

Formal identification is still to take place but the family of 34-year-old Kieran Dixon, of Dunbar High Street, last seen in North Berwick on Lochbridge Road on Tuesday evening, have been informed.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

As with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
