THREE East Lothian schools are seeking for new headteachers.
Candidates are being sought for Musselburgh Grammar School, North Berwick High School and West Barns Primary School.
Recruitment campaigns to fill the roles are under way and job adverts are live on myjobscotland.gov.uk
The closing date is next Sunday (February 28).
Musselburgh Grammar’s head Colin Gerrie is set to leave the school in June for a new role as head at Greenfield International School in Dubai; Lauren Rodger, head at North Berwick High, is set to retire in June; and Laura Hay, acting head at West Barns Primary, was recently appointed depute head at Dunbar Primary.
Councillor Shamin Akhtar, cabinet member for education and children’s services at East Lothian Council, said: “These are exciting opportunities for any headteacher considering a new challenge, or for a school leader looking to progress their career with a move into headship.
“Our headteachers are well supported in their roles by the education team, their colleagues in other schools, and by active and vibrant parent communities.
“We’re looking for dynamic individuals with the background, skills and confidence to build on the good work of their predecessors and inspire their teams to drive forward excellence, attainment and school improvement. We will work closely with the schools’ parent councils throughout.”
