A MAN will appear in court today following a crash on the A1 yesterday (Wednesday) which saw potatoes spilled over the road.
The eastbound section of the road was temporarily closed after hundreds of potatoes were spilled across the carriageway when a tractor overturned at about 7.45am near Thistly Cross Roundabout.
Police have now confirmed that a man has been arrested.
A police spokesperson said: "A 22 year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and is due before Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, Thursday, September 17.
"A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
