SEAGULLS have been blamed for damaging bunting in Dunbar.
Flags line the town’s High Street each year during Civic Week celebrations.
The annual event – which was due to take place in June and mark 50 years of the celebrations, as well as 650 years of the granting of the Royal Charter to the town – was scaled back due to the coronavirus, although the flags were still in place.
Graham Adams, vice-chairman of the town’s community council and chairman of the town’s Christmas lights committee, said there had been an issue relating to the feathered foes.
He added: “Seagulls are eating the bunting again.”
