POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Musselburgh last week after a man crashed into the back of a car and fled the scene.
The incident took place on Thursday (April 23) on the town's Linkfield Road.
Between 2.30pm and 3pm a woman was driving her car towards Levenhall when she approached the temporary traffic lights at the end of Millhill by the racecourse.
Once she had come to a stop another vehicle ran into the back of her, causing minor damage to her car.
The other vehicle turned around and left the scene without exchanging any details.
Police are now trying to trace this vehicle, described as black and having a '07' plate. It was being driven by a single male occupant.
A police spokesman said: "If anyone was in the area at the time or if anyone has any information about the incident, please contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2055 of April 23."
