THE number of East Lothian residents who have died from Covid-19 has been revealed as 44 as local figures were released for the first time.
The National Records of Scotland disclosed that 21 deaths of people who lived in the county were recorded last week with coronavirus listed on the certificate, the same as the previous week, with a further two recorded the week before.
Figures prior to that have not been released.
Across NHS Lothian a total of 256 Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded.
