A SCHOOL girl from Wallyford who wrote a letter to two ambulance workers has been told of their emotional reaction.

Sarah Brady, 11, a primary seven pupil at Wallyford Primary School, was taking part in the first ‘Clap for our Carers’ event on March 26 with mum Samantha.

She noticed the ambulance sitting at the end of her street so quickly drafted a letter and ran over with a rose and gave it to them.

The letter read: “Thanks for everything you’re doing for the world, love Sarah Brady.”

Samantha said: “The clap was amazing.

“A few days later the ambulance had to come back to my house for my partner.

“The ambulance lady said that two men were in Wallyford recently and someone gave them a letter and that they were really overwhelmed. I said to her: ‘That was my daughter.’

“She made two grown men really emotional and they were apparently telling everyone about it.

“I’m just glad she could make them smile, she does everything she can to help everybody.”

Samantha was then told that the men still had the letter and the rose was in a vase in their office.

And Sarah has since dyed some of her hair red in tribute to the NHS.
