THE search for a man reported missing a week ago is continuing on the outskirts of North Berwick.

Richard Forbes was reported missing from his home on Edinburgh’s Duddingston Crescent last Wednesday (March 18).

Since then, enquiries have established that he travelled to the Canty Bay area, to the east of North Berwick, where he visited a café at about 2.50pm.

Police officers are carrying out further searches and enquiries in the area today (Wednesday).

Fifty-two-year-old Richard is described as white, six-foot-two-inches tall, with grey hair.

Sergeant Alastair Sadler, from Craigmillar Police Station in Edinburgh, said: “We have been making extensive enquiries over the past week to establish Richard’s movements and any information could prove vital to these efforts.

“We’re asking anyone who may have seen Richard in North Berwick to come forward and speak with officers who will be in the area, or please call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2035 of March 18.”
