A NORTH Berwick man has been ordered to stay away from his ex-partner after he turned up at her home uninvited and rummaged through her possessions.
Graham Watt, 52, attended at the woman's property at the town’s Trainers Brae and made his way inside.
He then went through her belongings without the woman being at home between December 31 last year and January 1 this year.
Watt also attended at the home when the woman was present and placed his foot in the front door, preventing her from closing it.
Watt, of Melbourne Place, was in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court where he pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards the woman.
Sheriff Adrian Cottam decided to fine Watt £180 and told him he could not contact the woman or enter the street she lived in for the next 12 months as part of a non-harassment order.
Watt pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by entering the property uninvited, going through the woman’s possessions, attending at the property and placing his foot in the door to prevent it from closing and repeatedly pushing against the front door at Trainers Brae, North Berwick, between December 31 last year and January 1 this year.
