A PRESTONPANS man stood trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court accused of inducing children to attend at a property in the town.
James Hastie, of Redburn Road, acted in a threatening or abusive manner towards an unnamed person in May last year.
Hastie shouted homophobic and racial remarks, while he also uttered threats of violence as he stood outside the address at North Bank Road.
The 35-year-old also behaved aggressively before inducing children to attend at the home and knock on the door.
Hastie was also alleged to have behaved in an aggressive manner and made homophobic remarks at the same address 10 days later.
Following the trial in front of Sheriff Peter McCormack, Hastie was found guilty of the first charge and not guilty in relation to the second alleged incident.
Sheriff McCormack fined Hastie £250.
Hastie was found guilty of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by making homophobic and racist remarks, uttering threats of violence and inducing children to attend at the property and knock on the door at North Bank Road on May 10 last year.
