A MAN missing after a boat capsized in a loch in the west of Scotland on Saturday has been named as Kieran Cowan, from Prestonpans.
The search for the 23-year-old resumed on Monday after the incident on Loch Awe in Argyll and Bute.
Two other men on the boat were able to swim to a nearby island and raise the alarm.
The pair, aged 23 and 27, were rescued and taken to hospital before being discharged.
Mr Cowan's family said in a statement released by police: "Kieran always sees the good in a bad situation. He has a heart of gold and loves life.
"He lights up the room with his infectious smile and his motto is: it is what it is."
Oban mountain rescue team and a search and rescue helicopter were deployed after the boat capsized at about 4.40pm.
Police said members of the dive unit were assisting the search for Mr Cowan on Monday.
