A “FAST and furious” triathlon in the county will be broadcast live on BBC Scotland this evening (Friday).
Foxlake Adventures plays host to the BBC Scotland Adventure Show, which will be streaming live for only the second time ever from the wakeboarding park, near West Barns.
The show, which starts at 7pm, is hosted by Dougie Vipond, Lauren MacCallum and Patrick Winterton.
Paul McGreal, organiser, said: “Leave the stresses and strains of the working week behind you and come and watch something fast and furious at the amazing Foxlake Adventures. This is off-road triathlon like you’ve never seen it before!
“The course will be short; we’re aiming for winning times of around 40-45 minutes. Yep, that’s for the whole lot, swim, bike and run. So, they can take it as fast or as easy as they like. Either way, this should be fun.”
The course covers approximately 200m open-water swim in the private, freshwater wakeboard park, then a 6k mountain bike section and a 3k trail run.
The BBC are inviting members of the public to cheer on the participants, though there will be no vehicle access after 7pm; there is no charge.
