THREE people have been arrested in connection with tax fraud allegations after a string of raids on premises in North Berwick.
A total of six warrants were executed by customs and excise officers backed up by police during two days of action in the town.
A spokesman for HMRC said a 57-year-old man and two women, aged 58 and 26, were all arrested following the investigation.
He said: “A 57-year-old man, a 58-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of income tax and VAT fraud and subsequently released pending further investigation.”
